Michael Goldstein
Michael Goldstein is a serial entrepreneur with 15 years experience focused on e-commerce, online content and subscription businesses. Michael has founded five businesses and sold three, including DealPal to XL Marketing in 2010 and Magazine-of-the-Month to Magazines.com in 2004.
Michael’s passion is for growing start-ups and he has been involved with multiple start-up businesses as an advisor & mentor. Start-up involvement includes:
- OrderGroove, a business idea Michael worked with a recent GW graduate to formulate and launch. OrderGroove is experiencing rapid growth and recently raised its second round of funding.
- NextGame, a mobile app that enables users to find meet-up sporting events and serves as a centralized database of all types of sporting events.
Allen Morgan
After 12 years as a General Partner/Managing Director/Venture Partner at Mayfield Fund, Allen is now fully-engaged in two pursuits: (1) as an active venture “Sherpa” and early-stage Angel investor and (2) as a Board Member and Managing Director, New Ventures Group, at Idealab in Pasadena, California (www.idealab.com). Allen also remaining as a Venture Advisor at Mayfield.
As an angel/Venture Sherpa, Allen’s principal investment focus is on start-ups in the areas of eCommerce, consumer internet services (both consumer-facing and infrastructure), interactive entertainment, online advertising and new media.
David Steinberg
David is the founder of XL Marketing, one of the largest online customer acquisition companies. Prior to founding XL Marketing in 2007, David founded InPhonic in 2000, a leading online communication product and services provider. InPhonic was number one on the Inc 500 list in 2004, the same year it went public in one of the largest technology deals of that year. In addition, InPhonic was one of the top 10 marketers on the internet from 2004 through 2007.
David currently sits on the Board of Directors of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Washington and Jefferson College , Greater Washington Sports Alliance and Faster Cures. Faster Cures; having been formed under the auspices of the Milken Institute. David holds a B.S. from Washington & Jefferson College.
